Charlie Hackney has
brought over twenty years of professional real estate appraisal experience
to the Manatee County Property Appraiser's Office.
He was elected to
the position of Property Appraiser in 1992. He holds
the Certified Florida Appraiser (CFA) designation from the Florida
Department of Revenue. He is a member and past president of the
Florida Association of Property Appraisers, a member of the International
Association of Assessing Officers, and he has also been an SRA
Member, Appraisal Institute from 1985 - 2004.
Charlie has
committed himself to running the Property Appraiser's Office as
efficiently and in as cost effective a manner as possible in order to save
taxpayers' money while at the same time providing the best possible
quality service to our citizens .
Charlie is a
lifelong Floridian and has attended Manatee Junior College and Florida
State University. He has served on the Manatee Community College Board of
Trustees, Kiwanis Club of Bradenton Board of Directors as past president and Manatee
Community College Foundation. He is a former Hernando de Soto and
Bradenton Jaycee member.
He and his wife,
Niki, reside in Ellenton.
